I solely blame the cancellation of the HST on the confusing ballot.
Who ever uses the word “extinguish” on a ballot.
You can walk down any street in Abbotsford and ask anyone walking there what the word “Extinguish” means and more that 50 per cent will tell you they don’t have a clue.
The ballot should have been simply, if you want to keep the HST check here and if you want to cancel it check here. The “yes and no” wording also helped confuse the issue.
All I have to say is “don’t blame me.”
I voted no.
