MORTON; Winnifred Ada Armistice

November 11, 1925 ~ September 30, 2016

It is with sadness that the family of Winnifred Morton announces her peaceful passing on September 30, 2016 at the Menno Hospital in Abbotsford. Winnifred leaves behind her brother Stan (Joy); son Douglas (Helen); daughters Nancy (Ted) and Anita (Andy); grandchildren Kim, Rod, Jason, Niki, Kayle and Amy; 14 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Winnifred was predeceased by her brother Gordon, her two baby daughters Catherine and Linda, grandson Ian, and loving husband Tom. The family wishes to thank the Menno Hospital staff and most recent doctor, Dr. Milena Campbell, for their compassion, care and support during her time with them. Special thanks as well to Dr. Patel (whose best medicine for mom were his hugs) and all the staff (her girls) at the Mission Medical Group. An Afternoon Tea is planned for Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Hatzic Prairie Hall, 10845 Farms Rd., Mission, BC at 1:00 pm. Should friends desire, donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Christine Morrison Hospice Society, or a wildlife or animal charity of your choice.

“Lord, put your arms around her and give her a great big hug,

tell her how much we miss her and give her all our love.”
