On January 15, 2018, our beloved Wilma Sevenhuysen passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 84.

Wilma was born in Zwolle, Netherlands, in 1933, and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with her parents and four younger brothers. She met Albert in Abbotsford and they married soon after in 1956.

She will be remembered for her love and devotion to family, enthusiasm for life, strong faith, great story-telling, fishing obsession, adventurous spirit, hospitality, dedicated foster parent service, and passion for gardening, cooking, sewing and knitting.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Albert, one brother Peter Kleine, seven children Sylvia Sevenhuysen, Rick (Arlene) Sevenhuysen, Jocelyn (Case) Timmermans, Shirley (Frank) Ratzlaff, Wendy (Jerry) Beintema, Angela (Ted) Zak, and Belinda (Eddie) Tielmann, two foster daughters Lara and Joanna, 29 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a large loving extended family.

She is predeceased by her parents Dirk and Johanna Kleine, brothers Dick, John, and Henry and grandson Derrick Timmermans.

Viewing is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 at the Henderson's Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Rd., Abbotsford, B.C.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Jan. 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gateway CRC at 2884 Gladys Ave. (Abb-Mission Hwy.), with pastor Marcel DeRegt officiating.

Internment will be in the Hazelwood Cemetery.
