Wllly Smit died in his sleep August 21, 2003 at MSA Hospital, at age 79.
Predeceased by his wife Willy (Wilma).
Born in the Netherlands, he came to Canada in 1950 to Edmonton, Alberta, moved to BC in 1966. Dairy farmed for 5 years on Vancouver Island before moving to Matsqui in 1972, where he farmed for 23 years. He "retired" to Mission in 1994.
Survived by his five children, Joan, Corinne, Simone, Ron and Karl. Grandchildren Jared, Monique, Marc, and other family and friends.
August 27, 2003 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service at Hazelwood Cemetery; 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at Immanuel Covenant Reformed Church, worshipping at the Seventh Day Adventist church on Griffiths, Abbotsford.
