William McDONALD

December 16, 2005

McDONALD; William Wiles

Our circle has broken, as Bill quietly left us on Friday, December 16, 2005.

“A Butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belongs to our world ...

But then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all.”

Bill had a great sense of pride in whatever project he was working on. He designed, built and sold, in Canada and internationally, “The Original Forklift RampsTM”. He built up a successful business here at Mission, BC named W.M. Maunfacturing Ltd., now carried on by the family.

“The best thing you can give children, next to good habits, are good memories.” Bill was a great storyteller, especially of his teen and childhood years. Since his “Word was his bond” the stories were always presented to all in truth and great good humor.

A fond farewell to all of his friends and coffee buddies in Mission, BC, he loved and valued you all. I know everyone who knew him will miss him and for that we thank each and every one of you.

Left to mourn are his wife Catherine, his beloved children Brian and Sandra, his twin brothers Blayne and Brian and their families, and many, many relatives and friends.

By Bill’s request, there will be a memorial service at the graveside in Virden, Manitoba. He will be laid to rest in the 1800s family burial ground.

“Our loss is God’s reward

Sleep well my darling.”

Kay, Brian and Sandra
