March 25, 1933 - June 18, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected but quiet passing of William Ashley Browne at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise, grandson William and sister Janet.

He is survived by his sister Joyce Bonner and brother, Wayne (Yvonne). He is also survived by his son Auguste (Margaret); daughter, Wilma; son, Eugene and daughters Thea and Theresa (Paul Genton); granddaughters, Elizabeth (Mark) Bedeaux, Grace Browne, Thea Loberg; grandson, Paul (Heather) Loberg and great granddaughter, Avalon as well as his extended family.

William was born in Mission, BC and spent his entire life on Nicomen Island, near Deroche. He was a founding member of the North Fraser Fire Department, to which he served for 29 years. Several of his remaining years, he served as Captain and then Chief. He was a devoted farm and family man who had a positive influence on many people. He was the heart of the family and he will be sadly missed.

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 29, at 11:00 am at the Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, 32860 Cherry Ave. Mission.

Graveside service will follow at Hatzic Cemetery.

Reception will follow the Graveside at the Cedar Valley Church.

Memorial Donations may be directed to the BC Cancer Foundation in William's name.
