Huettmeyer, Werner August

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Werner Huettmeyer on Tuesday June 8th, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Julianne, his son, Kurt and wife Susan of Revelstoke and 7 grandchildren: Laura, Kendra, Eleanor, Leslie, Grant, Fiona and Erik. He also survived by relatives in Germany. Werner was born on October 17, 1920 in Dobrock, Lower Saxony, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1956, settling in Regina and retired to Abbotsford in 1986. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 2029 Ware St., Abbotsford on Tuesday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peace Lutheran Church (www.plc-abby.org) or the BC Lung Association (www.bc.lung.ca).
