March 10, 1937 – January 19, 2021
Walter Rudolf Hildebrandt passed away on January 19, 2021 at Chilliwack General Hospital. He was born March 10, 1937 in Rabbit Lake Saskatchewan, the youngest of 6.
He was a devoted family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a long time member of “Hole In The Wall”. He worked his whole life on the dairy farm on the Sumas Prairie until retiring at age 65, when he and Judy moved to Majuba Hill in Yarrow, then eventually to Sardis in 2017.
Walt was predeceased by his wife Judy, sister Tina, and brother Henry.
Walt is survived by his 2 children, Dan (Suzann), Lisa (John), 5 grand children Marshall, Kara, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Megan, and 1 great grandchild, Sawyer, also Walt’s brother Peter, sisters, Mary and Betty, and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to all the doctor’s, nurse’s, and staff of Chilliwack General Hospital for all the care given to Walt in his final days, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Chilliwack General Hospital greatly appreciated.
