Walter Marden Baines

Walter Marden Baines

March 20, 1930 – September 24, 2018
Our Beloved Father and Grandfather passed away peacefully at Mission Hospital after a long battle with Kidney Disease. He’s back in the loving arms of his wife, best friend and travel partner Elma.

Walter was born in Abbotsford and was a native son of the area and a member of the pioneer Peardon family. His passions were travelling, fishing and cycling. He worked in the Mining Division of Clayburn Industries until he retired at 65 after 47 years of proud service.

He was loved by all and is fondly remembered as a hard worker and a caring, compassionate person. He will be sorely missed by his loving family; Sister-In-Law Hilda (McIntee), daughter Gail (Macey), Son and Daughter-In-Law Brian and Cecile, grandchildren Glen, Connie, Laura, Adam and Brandon and great grandchild Rayne.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 4th 11:30 – 2:30 pm in the Dogwood Room on the 2nd Floor of the Garden Park Tower, 2825 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.

(Underground parking available.)

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation in Walter’s memory would be much appreciated.
