Violet “Tyne” Tribe (nee Harrison)passed away peacefully on July 1, 2004 in Abbotsford, B.C. at the age of 91.
Tyne was born in Parksville, B.C. on August 18, 1912, moved with her family to Ontario in 1950 and returned to British Columbia in 1992.
Predeceased by her husband, Norman, in 1988, by her twin brother, Richard, in 1977 and by her older sister Gwen, in 1997, she is survived by her two sons Robert (Mt. Lehman, B.C.) and Richard (Granton, Ont.); four grandchildren, Sean Tribe (Ivy Lake, B.C.) Michelle Tribe (Vancouver, B.C.), Lauren Briens (London, Ont), and Michael Tribe (Lucerne, Switzerland); two great grandchildren, Tristan and Remy Briens; and older brother Jack Harrison (Richmond, B.C.)
Respecting her wishes, there will be no service, but rather a Celebration of Life reception to be held at the home of her son Robert Tribe, in Mt. Lehman, B.C. on Sat., July 24, 2004, between the hours of 2 – 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Valhaven Care Home, 4212 Balmoral St., Abbotsford, B.C., V4X 1Y5 would be gratefully appreciated.
