Vic passed away at the age of 72 at Roya lColumbian Hospital into the presence of the Lord on December 22, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 12, 1949.
Vic attended Columbia Bible College and it was here that he met his wife Charlotte and they were married in November of 1970.
South Abbotsford was their home church, active in choir, youth groups, college and career, and small groups.
Vic served on the board of Burden Bearer, CBC, Stillwood and worked with Sowers.
Vic built many houses in the Fraser Valley, purchased Clearbrook Millworks which later became Clearbrook Windows (1977), where he manufactured all wood windows.
Vic studied to become a financial advisor. He successfully worked in this field for 17 years till his retirement in January 2014.
Vic was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Ed Penner. Vic is survived by his wife (of 51 years) Charlotte, his four children (&spouses) Paul Hiebert (Melanie), Kelly Hiebert (Andrea), Robyne Adlam (Don), and Stacy Cole (Justin), his eight grandchildren Rhys, Rachael, Aeryn, Olin, Jude, Graham, William and Lawson, as well as three brothers and three sisters and their spouses. Vic will be remembered as a kind humble man that embraced life and loved his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford on Thursday, Jan 6, 2022 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Graveside service to be held at Maclure Road Cemetery followed by the Memorial Service on Friday, January 7th at 1:00pm at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Rd, Abbotsford masks are required.
