JAEGER Troels. Troels Asmussen Jaeger died peacefully in the Menno Hospital in Abbotsford, BC, at the age of 73, on Saturday, July 27th, 2013. He was born in Denmark and immigrated to Canada at the age of 11, with his family, and subsequently became a Canadian citizen. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bsc in Forestry and an MSc(cum Laude) in Forestry. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity while at university and was appointed Scientific Editor of the Forest Products Research Laboratory in Ottawa from 1969 to 1981. He was a member of the Rockcliffe Flying Club from 1977 to 1981. He subsequently moved to Abbotsford, BC, where he became an active member of Central Heights Church. He was beloved father of Christopher Brett Jaeger, stepfather to Shannon Hallet McLean and Jason Laporte and is survived by his sisters, Susanne Mohle, Marianne Crane and Rose Sibany, and brothers, Walter Jaeger and Robert Jaeger and fifteen nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wiebe and Jeske Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a donation to your favourite charity would be appreciated by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Central Heights Church in the Nikkel Hall on Aug. 9, 2013 at 2.00 pm.
