Thomas Wayne Lightburn, passed away on July 15, 2018 surrounded by those he loved at the age of 68. He is survived by wife Brenda (nee: Fee), daughter Dana (David), and mother Elsie, and predeceased by son Spencer and father Jack.
After growing up in Mission, Tom spent his life in Abbotsford as a pharmacist, always ready with a smile and sense of humour. He lived life full, from curling to golf, from vacations to work, always with an unwavering devotion to family.
When faced with a spinal cord injury in 2009, Tom faced the challenge with a positivity and strength of spirit that was nothing short of amazing. Tom was fortunate to be surrounded by the warmth and love of his family and friends, and for their support he was eternally grateful.
A braver, kinder, funnier, and more generous person would be impossible to find, and while he has moved on from this Earth, his spirit and zest for life will continue to inspire us all. Love you now and forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018.
