It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Lindsay Moore, husband, father, grandfather and ggpa to his newly born great granddaughter. After a short illness, Lindsay passed peacefully on May 7th, 2015 with his loving wife of almost 50 years by his side. Lindsay was born the fifth of seven children in Mission, BC and was raised on a dairy farm in Hatzic, BC. Being raised on a farm set the theme for most of Lindsay's life as he loved to be outdoors. From hunting, canoeing the Bowron lakes, many camping vacations and his greatest love, his ranch in Lone Butte, Lindsay was most happiest being close to nature. He is survived by his loving wife and his childhood sweetheart, Cheryl, his two daughters Corrina (Larry) and Tracy (Terry), his seven grandchildren, Jericho, Braeden, Cassandra (Dustin), Tabitha, Jocelyn, Sheriden, and Tiahnna and his great granddaughter, Haisley. Also, survived by his two sisters Pat Jago, Gerry Russoski and his Brother Ron Moore. Lindsay was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Joyce Moore, his sister, Shirley Mathews and his two brothers, Ken and Mike Moore. Lindsay spent most of his career in the home building trade as an architect, a designer of custom homes and as a building inspector. One of Lindsay's designs is the only log home to date built in Israel. Lindsay was an artist, both in carvings and paintings, and an all round craftsman having tried his hand in many wonderful creations, from his own pontoon boat to a six foot long fish tank that was a gift to his family, Lindsay was always trying new things. His love of music was also paramount in his life. He was the lead singer in a band and a gifted guitar player and his family enjoyed many hours of listening to him sing in gatherings around the campfire, and at parties in his home where everyone was welcomed and joined in in the singing and playing of instruments. Lindsay and Cheryl purchased a piece of undeveloped land May/92 - 23 years ago and there, they spent their summers turning it into a working ranch. Lindsay played with his big boy toys and the ranch now stands as a beautiful culmination of their hard work and was enjoyed by family and friends alike. Lindsay will be greatly missed by family and friends. His ashes will be taken back to the ranch that he so dearly loved. As per Lindsay’s request, there will be no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 31st, 2015 from 1 - 4pm at the Eagles Hall, 33868 Essendene Ave., Abbotsford.
