Thomas "Tom" David Lyle
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of Thomas David Lyle. Tom will lovingly be missed by his wife Carolyn, children and grandchildren, brother Bill (May). Tom was an honest and hardworking man. He spent over 40 years working in all aspects of being an Electrician. He proudly served all the communities he resided in, such as Mayor and Councillor in Tofield, AB. Tom, prior to moving to BC in 2004, was also a member of several civic boards in the province of Alberta. Tom was passionately involved in all the communities where he resided. Tom served with the Elks Club, Lions Club, Order of Eastern Star and The Masons. At the time of Toms' passing he was Worshipful Master of Abbotsford #70 Lodge. Tom was also Grand Sentinel of the Grand Chapter of BC Yukon Order of The Eastern Star. Tom was an Outdoorsman, enjoying Fishing, Hunting, Gardening, Boating and extensive traveling. Cremation has been conducted by Just Cremations. A Memorial will be held on April 1st, 2017 at 1:00 pm at The Masonic Hall, 45905 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC. Tom's final resting place will be at the family's Heritage farm where he was raised in Stettler, Alberta, later this spring.
