1943-2021 ~ It is with profound sadness that the family of Thomas "Bryan" Archibald announce his passing on April 11, 2021 after a brief battle with Covid.
Bryan will be lovingly remembered by his devoted partner Kathi Tompkins, loving sons Travis (Amy) and Tyler, stepsons Rob (Bobbie) and Paul (Lori), his cherished grandchildren; Theo, Reese, Tyson and Sophie, adoring sister Debbie (Marcel), brothers Craig, Shane (Debbie), Gordon and Tim (Nancy), nephews, nieces and cousins. He is predeceased by parents Thomas and Rita Archibald, brother John, sister-in-law Cathy.
Bryan was born in Westmount, Quebec in 1943 and moved to BC at the age of 18 where he earned his Red Seal certificate as an electrician and was a proud member of Local 213 Electrical Workers'.
In 2001 Bryan accepted the management position for the Abbotsford Co-operative Housing Association, a position he enjoyed.
Bryan loved sports. He played slo-pitch, curled and golfed for many years and he was an avid supporter of professional hockey and football. His true passion was fishing. He would spend many hours at the Vedder; heading off in the dark to "stake out his spot". He was adept at picking those spots as the freezer was often full of fish.
He found great pleasure in building impressive Lego creations and travelling to places like China, Mexico, UK and his favourite place Maui.
Bryan loved life, his family and his many friends. He was a kind and gentle soul with a wonderful laugh and a great sense of humour. He will be forever dearly missed.
