It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Hannah, age 95, at the Berkley Care Centre. Born in Bradner, BC, she met and married Mark Hannah in 1946. They welcomed daughters Diane and Patricia and planted their roots in Trail, BC. Thelma worked as the high school secretary and later became the first married woman hired at Cominco. Thelma and Mark retired in 1976 and moved to Abbotsford to be near their family and grandsons. Thelma will be remembered as a kind and loving soul who was always upbeat and cheerful. Thelma was predeceased by parents Robert and Mary Ann Donaldson, husband Henry Mark Hannah, daughter Diane Thelma Dunnet (Gordon) and siblings Margaret, Robert, Ethel, Edith, and Marjorie. She is survived by daughter Patricia "Patsy" Hannah, sister Isobel Thompson (Nihls), grandsons Allan Dunnet (Ann) and Ross Dunnet (Kayleigh) and great grandson Maxwell. The family would like to thank the WVCC and BCC staff and especially thank Arlene at WVCC, her personal care aide Merly, and her nurse Maida at BCC.
