GRANUM, Thelma Margaret

April 7, 1921 - July 24, 2011

Thelma Granum passed away peacefully at her home in Abbotsford on July 24, 2011. She was the youngest of nine children born to Anton and Johanna Goslee in Davidson, Sask.

She was predeceased by her parents, 8 brothers and sisters, her loving husband Almar, son Bob Christianson and Grandson Robin Baker.

Thelma is survived by her four daughters, Dawn Karr, Fay (Glen) Stewart, Doris (John) Good, Joanne Toews and her daughter-in-law Jane Christopherson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Along with Almar, she owned and operated Sultans Resort in Hope from 1958 - 1967. It is now known as Kawkawa Lake Park. They were also active in the "old time fiddlers" and the Abbotsford Antique Farm Machinery Association.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matsqui Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5781 Riverside St., Matsqui, B.C.

Interment to be on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hope, B.C. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Matsqui Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice in Thelma's name.
