VENEMA Tena. (nee Feenstra). Tena Venema, late of Abbotsford, passed away on March 17, 2014 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Venema. She is survived by children: Ted (Irene), Ivor (Connie), Cynthia (Gerald) Lucas, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Siblings: Lou (dec.) (Della), Klaske (Henk), Ray (dec.) (Anne (dec.)) John (Audrey (dec.)), Sake (Trude), Vicky (dec.) (Jack), Joke (Jaap) and Jetty. Tena began her teaching career in Holland and continued to teach all ages and subjects in Vancouver, Abbotsford and Sachs Harbour. She was a founding member of New Life Church and actively involved in F.V. Christian Centre, Life Recovery and Abby Writers. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 21, at 2:00 pm at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 35270 Delair Road, Abbotsford with Pastor Nathan Elgersma officiating. Donations may be made to Fraser Valley Christian Centre.
