TAMAKO KATO

June 3, 2004

Tamako Kato (nee Tamada), passed away peacefully, after a brief illness on June 3, 2004, in her 94th year.

Born in Japan in 1910, she came to Canada in 1933 as the bride of Masagoro who predeceased her in 1966.

They seettled in Vancouver, spent most of the 1940's in Lillooet then moved to Aldergrove in 1951 where they worked hard to develop a successful farm and nursery.

In her later years she had a passion to travel and visited many far away places.

She is sadly missed by her children George (Sarah); Jean, David (Amy); Noriko (Gerry); and John.

Precious grandmother of 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also survived by relatives in Canada and Japan.

After a private service by request, the family invites friends and relatives to share memories and commemorate her rich full life. The celebration in her honour will be on Saturday, June 12, 2004 from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Conservatory at Newlands Golf & Country Club, 21025 48th Ave., Langley, B.C.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and doctors at Valhaven and MSA Hospital for their exceptional service and care.
