January 30, 1938 - February 15, 2019
Sylvia Pincott, age 81, died on February 15th surrounded by family and long-time friends at Abbotsford General Hospital.
Sylvia received multiple awards from municipal and provincial groups such as the Canadian Governor General's Queen's Golden Jubilee
Medal and an honorary doctorate in Public Affairs and Science from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2004, all for environmental
stewardship.
She developed the "Backyard Habitat" program for Abbotsford and was instrumental in taking it to the provincial level as"Naturescape".
Left to honour Sylvia and rememberher love and advocacy for all things natural is her husband Keith Pincott, her step daughters Brenda, Ingrid
& Anna, and her many friends and their families.
A memorial will be held at the Pender Island Golf Club on April 28th, 2019.
