Susie, a resident of Abbotsford, BC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Menno Home at the age of 84. Susie was born to Peter and Lena Krause in Novo-Witbsk, Russia on January 17, 1923. She came to Canada as an infant and grew up in Gnadental, Manitoba. She moved to BC in 1946 and had three children - Dan, Tim and Amanda. At the age of 45 she moved to Saskatchewan with her husband Jake Reimer where she lived for 31 years. In 1999 she returned to BC to receive medical attention and to be near her children. Susie loved her children and grandchildren and prayed for them faithfully. She loved missions and supported them regularly, she always helped the needy and reached out to the hurting and lonely. Most of all she loved the Lord Jesus and grew to know and love Him more each passing year. She longed for His appearing and couldn’t wait to go to her eternal home.
Susie was predeceased by her father and mother, Peter and Tina Krause, her step-mother, Lena Krause and her brother Peter Krause. She is survived by her three children, Dan (Lorna), Tim (Rose), Amanda (Mike); her grandchildren Kimberly, Veronica, Terry, Lance, Rachelle, Crystal, Shannon and Sean; her great-grandchildren Ryan, CJ, Matthew, Noah, Trinity, and Julie.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home follow-ed by burial at Maclure Road Cemetery.
