Stephen Wood passed away peacefully May 22, 2023 after a tough battle with cancer, although he managed his treatments like a champ. Thank you to the BC Cancer team at Abbotsford Hospital for his care as well as the compassionate ICU team who made his last days comfortable.
Stephen leaves behind his sister Denise who misses him deeply. As well, he will be missed by his dogs Fenn and Nyquist who were his very best friends. He is remembered as a kind and gentle man by his extended family, Naomi, Brady, Owen, Sebastian, Jennie, Behrad, Zoe and Benji.
Stephen was a loyal employee of Dairyland and Saputo, retiring in 2021 after 47 years.
His ongoing passion of the past several years was playing with and training his dogs in Dog Agility. He spent many hours enjoying this activity and entering local competitions.
He loved his home and neighborhood in Abbotsford, where he lived over 25 years. In the summer months, his yard was full of many glorious flower pots of petunias and geraniums.
His family would like to thank Stephen's neighbors, as well as his dog community for their wonderful support.
