In Loving Memory ~
With heavy hearts and deep sadness the Sidhu family announces the passing of Mr. Sohan Singh Sidhu, loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, husband and friend to all.
Sohan was born to Late Mr. Pratap Singh Sidhu and Late Mrs. Chand Kaur Sidhu in 1947, in Landheke, Punjab, India. Brother to Ajmer, Late Kehar, Gurmail Singh and Gurmail Kaur Dhaliwal.
On January 6, 1967 he settled in Mission, BC working at Thompson Lumber Mills. On December 30th, 1971 he married the late, beloved Manjit Kaur Sidhu with whom he shared 3 children, Parm, Pinky and Dave.
During the course of his life, Sohan worked at Whonnock Lumber Mills for many decades and was proudly able to buy his first berry farm in 1975. His strong work ethic and determination enabled him to provide a beautiful life and home for his family.
Sohan lived a life of deep commitment to his faith. As a man of God, he spread light everywhere he went. Known as a friend and confidante to all, a source of strength, and a man with high morals, he was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know him.
Sohan lived life with the mindset of being truly happy and he would ALWAYS say"thanks be to God".
His happiness spread unconsciously to all - both young and old -who had the pleasure to know him. He loved walking, exercising and knew staying healthy was extremely important. He shared his wisdom with all who knew him because he cared so much for everyone in his life.
He had a unique love and connection with dogs, loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. Sohan was always very appreciative for the blessings God provided in his life and was very content in not needing anything more.
He was a father figure to all, and always emphasized that one should live an honest life in commitment to God, with integrity and happiness.
Sohan is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Sarabjit Sidhu, children Parm, Pinky, Dave (Lisa), his grandchildren Karishma, Marco, Isabella, Marissa, and his brothers and sisters. He was loved dearly by all and will be deeply missed.
