Sid went peacefully to be with his Lord on January 15, 2003. He passed away at home with his family surrounding him.
He leaves behind, his wife Catharina (Cathy) of 39 years and his children, Ron, Derrick (Marcia - Michael, Jeffery), Teresa Huizenga (Adrian - Rachel, Derrick), Greg (Heather - Christopher, Adam, Erik) and Carolyn Groenwold (R. Scott - H. Scott, Megan Matthew, Zachary), two sisters; Marie (Ane), Aafke and 1 brother Gerard (Tine) of Holland as well as numerous family in B.C., Alberta and Holland.
Services were held to celebrate Sid's life on Monday, January 20, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church with a private interment at Hazelwood Cemetery in Abbotsford.
