Yvonne will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Always so kind and generous, her passions were her dogs and gardening. She was often seen, with a smile on her face, puttering in her lovely garden, followed by her faithful dogs.
Yvonne had an early start in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Air Frame Tech. She continued in the transportation industry, with her favourite job being her last one, as a local transit driver. She always enjoyed interactions with her customers.
She is survived by her long-time companion Sandra; father Buster and step-mother Nancy; sisters: Marion, Dawn (Alan), Jenn; step-sister Julie (Harold); step-brother Jackson, many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her mother Marion and sister Emily. Many thanks to friends, Marchmont Rd. neighbours, and family who have been so very helpful.
Special thanks to Dr. Watt, Dr. Masuda, Dr. Pascoe and so many other dedicated health care providers who treated her so well at Cairnsmore Place during this last year of her life. The family also extends their gratitude to the staff at the Cowichan District Hospital. There will be no service.
