CAMERON; Shirley Irene (nee Wells)

1922 ~ 2015

Shirley was born in Big Muddy, Saskatchewan in 1922. She passed away at the age of 92 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on July 22 and has danced off to meet Dad (Morley Cameron, 1918 ~ 2007). Predeceased by sisters, Mildred Verot, Ruby Baskin, and Evelyn Dionne; survived by brothers, Donald and Dick Wells of Alberta. She will be dearly missed by her two children, Carol and Gordon (Lani); grandson, Ryan (Kelly); and 2 great-grandchildren. Mom and Dad were married April 1947 and spent 18 years in Saskatchewan; in 1965 they retired to Powell River, BC, where she enjoyed bowling, bridge, and her sewing circle. In 1980 they moved to Abbotsford, BC where they lived out their retirement years. Shirley loved living at Chartwell Cedarbrooke Retirement Home with her many friends, sharing laughter and wine at Happy Hour every day and also her hobbies of embroidery, knitting with 'Knit Wit' friends, as well as her socializing with 'red hatters'. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Abbotsford hospital for their loving and compassionate care of our loved one in her final few weeks. A private Memorial to be held later. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard,

but always here, still loved,

still missed, and very dear."
