With great sadness, the family of Setsuko (Liz) Yokoyama announces her passing away on April 2, 2007 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her loving family; son, John (Sharon) Yokoyama, daughter, Colleen (Stuart) McDonald; granddaughter, Brianne; grandson, Colin; brothers, Seichi and Takeo Utsunomiya. Setsuko was sadly predeceased by her husband, Tomio Yokoyama and brother, Ume Utsunomiya.
Liz will be missed by her many friends including: The Widows Helping Others Club, 69 Sunshine Club, her Mah Jong group, her bingo friends at McDonald’s and her good friend Naoko Ezaki.
Liz and her late husband, Tomio, worked hard on their berry farm in Aldergrove for 25 years. She enjoyed cribbage at the Friendship House and at the Eagles. She was very proud of the fact that she was a breast cancer survivor of 39 years, even though it was pancreatic cancer that took her from us so quickly.

A Memorial Service, celebrating the life of Setsuko (Liz) Yokoyama will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sat., April 14, 2007 from Aldergrove United Church, 2623 – 272 Street, Aldergrove. Memorial tributes may be made to Christine Morrison Hospice, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
