Kular, Sardar Jagir Singh

Passed away peacefully on Nov 10, 2009 at Christine Morrison Hospice Mission, after a long year of battling cancer. Born in Village Kular, Dist. Ludhiana, Punjab on Sept 17, 1933 - Mr. Kular arrived in Canada in 1959. He worked at Whonnock Shake and Shingle Mill until he retired in 1985. He was a hard-working, honest, caring and simple man. He lived his life by his own merits and touched the lives of many people, and shaped them to be the people they are today. No man could do what he did for so many, and on his own terms. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Harminder K. Kular; son, Kenny (Hardeep); daughter, Amerit (Manjit) Sohi; and five grandsons: Ashish, Armann, Adarsh, Vishal, and Aneel.

He will always be in our hearts and looking down at us with his forever famous smirk. A big thank you to the staff of the Christine Morrison Hospice for the loving care they provided. We are grateful to Dr. Wouterloot for his continuous compassionate loving care.

His funeral will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home 2310 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford at 1:30 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2009, followed by his Antim Ardass at 3 pm at the Khalsa Diwan Society Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice Mission.
