SMITH, SARAH ELIZABETH
March 1, 2006 - August 24, 2008
Sarah passed away suddenly while resting peacefully at home on Sunday, August 24, 2008. Sarah will be lovingly remembered by her mother Ashley, father Scott, and grandparents Sheila & Darrell Smith of Abbotsford and Michael & Patricia Byrne of Minnesota. She will also be missed by her large family of two great grandmas, two great grandpas, seven great aunts, six great uncles, four aunts, two uncles, and five cousins.
During her short time with us she brought much joy and blessings to the lives she touched. Although her life was often a struggle with medical issues, she taught us to persevere through the hard times, show compassion for those who are struggling, and joy in the everyday moments. The sparkle she held in her eye will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be given in Sarah's name to the Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC where she received much of her care, http://bcchf.ca/main. Donations will also be received at the memorial service, which will be held at a later date.
