FRIESEN Sara. Mrs. Sara Friesen late of Abbotsford, BC, daughter of the late Peter and Justina Dueck of Steinbach, MB, passed away on September 3, 2012 at the age of 90 at Worthington Pavilion. She is survived by: her sons Ron Friesen, Gary (Laura) Friesen, Walter (Carmen) Friesen, and daughter Johanna (Ernie) Trachuk, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, brothers: Walter (Nettie), Frank (Sara), Arnold (Vera), John, Ernest (Lorraine), Del (Eilleen), sisters Mary Unger, Betty (Dave) Penner, sister-in-law Maria and brother-in-law Elmer Bartel. She was predeceased by her first husband Abe Friesen, her second husband Anton Friesen, an infant son and her siblings Ben, Martin, Peter, Henry, and Ann. Sara had a strong Christian belief and prayed faithfully for her family. Though Sara was quiet by nature, she enjoyed socializing with friends and getting together with family. Family gatherings were very important to her. Quilting was a hobby she enjoyed after retiring from nursing; and puzzling and word games were favourite pastimes throughout her lifetime. A Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home.
