Ruth Virginia (nee Taylor), born on Feb. 18, 1929 in Vancouver to Jack and Jean (nee Duthie) Taylor, she passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Saviour, Jesus Christ on April 1, 2005 in M.S.A. Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. At her bedside were her loving husband Jack, son Gregory and daughter Denise Palmer.
Ruth fought a long, courageous battle with painful cancer. A beautiful, caring mother and wife, Ruth served as librarian at Sevenoaks Alliance Church and also at Ellendale Heights (now Cedar Grove Baptist) in Surrey. Ruth has gone ahead, but we will meet again where the Lamb of God shall feed us, lead us unto living fountains of waters and God will wipe away all our tears. (Rev 7:17).
She will be sadly missed by her sisters Ireanne Costanza, sister Beverly (Lowe) Hines, her brothers Charles Taylor and David Lowe; sisters-in-law Sheila (Connan) Taylor, Sheila (Palmer) Lochhead, Kay (Barichello) Palmer, Doreen (Bushby) Palmer and Mary Lowe; brothers-in-law Allan K. Palmer, Fred Lochhead; numerous nieces and nephews and dear life-long friends Lois (Schellenberg) Johnson and Maddy Hickaway.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at
11:00 a.m. in Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 2551 E. 49th Ave., at the corner of Elliott St., Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Universal Aide Society at the church, or care of Abe Schroeder (604) 853-3422.
