SMITH Ruth Marguerite SMITH (nee Ferris)
Ruth passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Abbotsford, BC.
Ruth was born in a small farmhouse near Fielding, SK, the twelfth of thirteen children. Ruth and her husband, Ed, moved to BC in 1957. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ed Smith of Abbotsford and daughters Sandra (Barry) of Port Moody and Gail (Jim) Campbell of Creston, sister Norma Barber of Calgary, brother Cecil (Betty) Ferris of Radison, SK, sisters-in-law Anne of Penticton, and Willy of Saskatoon, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one daughter, Linda, one son Rick, four brothers and six sisters.
A private family service will be held on May 22 at Abbotsford. The family wishes to thank Dr. Newton and the excellent Team 4 staff at Worthington Pavilion, Abbotsford for their loving care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (MSA Hospital Palliative Care), 7324 Hurd Street, Mission, BC, V2V 3H5.
