Ruth Margarita Dick (nee Bergmann) passed away on April 27, 2018 at the age of 84, in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Ruth was born to Henry and Margaret Bergmann in Dundurn, SK on March 29, 1934 and moved with her family to Chilliwack BC at the age of 12. She graduated from high school and went on to get her teaching certificate at Normal School in Vancouver. She married Elmer Dick on August 26, 1954.
Ruth taught Kindergarten for many years and retired from teaching in 1989. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They loved her cookies! Ruth was a woman with a strong faith and her church family and involvements were very important to her. She shared her life with so many people and always wanted others to know Jesus.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, husband Elmer, baby brother, Edward, older sister, Anita. She is survived by her three children; Marion (Wayne) Larson, Janet (Abraham) Buhler, and Paul (Carol) Dick, grandchildren, Jessica (Doug) Adair, Kim Larson (Tommy), Jordan (Katie) Dick, Katelyn Larson (Chad) and 5 great grandchildren, sister Dorothy (Dick) Rempel, sister-in-law Mary (Jim) Ratzlaff and brother-in-law Walter (Sue) Dick.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on the Palliative Complex Care Unit for their extraordinary love and compassion shown to our mom and family.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at South Abbotsford Church.
