Nov. 5, 1950 – April 15, 2006
Ruth passed away suddenly on April 15, 2006. Â She displayed such courage throughout her battle against cancer.
Ruth was always ready to try whatever came her way, from parasailing to river rafting. If Ruth was doing it she gave it her all. Â She had a passion for bowling. Â She loved family get-togethers. Â She found joy in knowing plans had been made and there was something to look forward to.
She was a great daughter, Âsister, aunt and great aunt. Â Always happy to see you and never asking for much. Â A person such as Ruthie is rare.
She was predeceased by her father, Albert Olsen, in 1990. Â She is survived by her mother, Georgette Olsen, and sisters, Jean (Dale) Harter, Mary (Dwight) Bates, Kathy (Frank) Nicolette, Trudy Olsen and Chris (Loren) Wiebe. Â She is also survived by her much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A very heartfelt thanks goes out to Dr. Coppin and the Cancer Care Team at the Fraser Valley Centre in Surrey.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Â Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
Bless you Ruthie.
Spread your wings and fly.
