In Loving Memory ~

With deep sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Russell Rindt — a devoted son, loyal brother, uncle and passionate turf farmer whose strength, integrity, and connection to the land left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Born and raised in Langley, BC, Russell grew up working alongside his family in turf farming from an early age. By his early teens, he had already begun farming in Sumas Prairie, where his love for the land blossomed into a lifelong calling. A man of great discipline and determination, Russell lived a healthy, active lifestyle and took pride in maintaining his physical fitness — qualities that echoed his hardworking spirit and deep respect for nature.

He found his peace and purpose outdoors, and in time, he built his dream log house in his favourite turf field — a place that perfectly reflected his quiet strength, self-reliance, and deep appreciation for simple beauty.

Russell was the beloved son of Heidi and Erwin Rindt and a cherished brother to Roy (Lucy), Ryan (Erica), Robert (Rebekah), Richard (Petra), and Ronald Rindt. He was a proud and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His loyal German shepherd, Ava, was his constant companion and will miss him dearly.

Russell's life was rooted in love, land, and family. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his calm and grounded presence, and the deep care he showed for both people and place. Though he has left this earth, his legacy will live on in the fields he nurtured, the home he built, and the hearts of those who loved him.

Until we meet again.

There will be a celebration of life held on June 20th at 2:00pm at 3555 Dixon Road, Abbotsford.
