Longtime Abbotsford resident Ruby Saxbee passed away on August 9, 2005. Ruby was born in Ramsey, Alberta on Feb. 20, 1914 and moved to Abbotsford in 1942. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Len of 51 years. She is survived by her sons: Wayne and Lowell both of Abbotsford; daughter-in-law: Henny; grandchildren: Denise (Harold) Hayes, Dean (Colleen) Saxbee, Janie (Darrell) Ross, Sandra (Sean) Frost and Karen (Doug) Mossey; great-grandchildren: Courtney, Brooke and Parker, Louis and Benjamin, Kelsey, Connor, Kaelan and Micah. Ruby was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She worked as a Cub Scout leader for many years and also volunteered at the Red Cross loan cupboard. She was also a honorary member of the Abbotsford Curling Club. Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Aug 13, 2005 at 11:00 am from Trinity Memorial United Church. Interment to follow at Musselwhite Cemetery.
