(Formerly Appeldoorn)(Nee Wittman)
Born March 5, 1934 in Manitoba moved to BC with her family in 1944. Rosina passed away May 17, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Predeceased by her first husband Moe Leonard and her third husband Arnie Waddell as well as many brothers and sisters. Survived by her children Deanna, Jim (Monica), Bill, Dave (Lisa), Lorna, and Jean as well as 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her sister Bertha (Ed). “Grandma Paints,” as she was known to many, spent a lot of her time painting the scenery at Mill Lake and when she didn’t have a canvas to work on she enjoyed painting rocks or playing cards with her friends. Rosina had a passion for the outdoors and animals; she leaves behind her beloved fish “Blue Boy.” It was always known that nobody would be turned away from Grandma Rosina’s and she welcomed all visitors with a smile. Rosina will be remembered for her kind spirit and her playful take on life. A celebration of life was held Friday May 21. In lieu of flowers, please support a local starving artist or the cancer society.
