Rose Sakimi Yamashiro (nee Nikaido) is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Sunday July 15 at the age of 66. Rose will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her husband of 40 years, Hiroo, who never left her side during her illness; her three children Laura (Thomas), Lisa (Anthony) and Craig (Lisa); and her four grandchildren Kaori, Julia, Emily-Rose and Dana. Rose was born on February 20, 1941, in Mission BC, the youngest of 12 children. She was a kind, beautiful, generous soul who spread joy wherever she went.
A viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22 from 3-5 pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 23 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Chapel.
