June 24, 1921 - October 21, 2019
The family is sad to announce the passing of Rose Low after a long and adventurous life. She was pre-deceased by her husband Bill in 1991 and is survived by four sons and a daughter: Bill (Jennifer), Derek (Jackie), Mike (Maureen), Clint (Margaret), and Dianne (Floyd) Peterson, as well as two brothers Jim and Dave Fee. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Rose always loved being on the water, starting life on a houseboat in False Creek, Vancouver, followed by waterfront cabins first at Summerland and then on Harrison Lake, and finally sailing all over the Salish Sea with Bill on their own sailboat. She was a talented artist and her many paintings hang in the homes of her children and grandchildren.
Rose's family and friends admired her upbeat outgoing personality, sense of humour, love of the outdoors, and personal courage. She enjoyed traveling with family to Australia, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska. Rose celebrated her 98th birthday at a family picnic at Mill Lake Park, Abbotsford, in June.
By her wish, there will be no funeral. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life next year.
