RITTICH; Ronald Gordon
March 5, 1949 ~ April 29, 2015
Ron passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, April 29th surrounded by his family. Ron was born in Victoria, BC to Tibor Eugene Rittich and Enid Margaret Putnam. After high school Ron pursued a career in engineering at BCIT and went on to work for various civil engineering firms. Most recently, Ron worked for Wedler Engineering as the project manager until his retirement. He maintained a close relationship with his work colleagues. Ron really enjoyed going out for dinner exploring the outdoors, rock collecting, and daily going to Starbucks. He would often spend hours there studying and reading his Bible. During his last year of life he dealt with much physical suffering and Romans 5:1-5 became his anchor passage. Ron is survived by his dear wife of 33 years, Benita, daughters Rebecca (Mark), Ruth, Rachel and grandson Jacob; sisters Janet (Jack Chalifoux), Sue (Tom Chernenkoff), nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford, BC, with interment at 9:30 am at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery, Abbotsford, BC.
