We are devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss the life of our beloved son, brother, and extended family member. Robert Nawrot passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.
He is survived by his loving family, parents Kyle and Cyndi, his sisters Stephanie Ohlmann, Jacqueline (Landon) Rempel, Chantelle and Breanna Nawrot and his dog Dante. He is also survived by his nephews Geoffrey and Teddy Rempel, his grandmothers Judy Heinrichs and Clara Nawrot and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather's Robert Heinrichs and William Nawrot.
He was a bright light in our lives. He loved deeply, had a soft and compassionate heart, and a smile that lit up the room. Everyone who knew him loved him, and he loved and cared for all of them. Robert was an incredibly talented hockey goalie. Whether he was a player, a referee, or a student mastering his next skill, Robert loved to be on the ice. Through hockey he was able to impact the lives of so many people far beyond our city. Beyond this, he had a passion to train his dog in protection, tracking and detection.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gateway Community Church, 2884 Gladys Avenue, Abbotsford, BC.
