Robert "Bob" died after a lengthy illness on December 5, 2003 surrounded by family. He was born June 10, 1933. Bob spent a long career in the Canadian Armed Forces, joining after graduating from North Vancouver High School in 1952 and retiring 33 years later. He was posted across Canada from Charlottetown, PEI to Vancouver, B.C. In 1964 he spent a year serving with the UN in Beirut. He is survived by his loving wife Lois; children Ben (Laura), Terry (Rick), Robin, Susan (Andy), and Becky (Dave); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Robin Lakey; brother John Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, B.C. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, or Diabetic Association.
