The passing of Robert "Bob" Henry Dowson, age 82 years, of Maplewood Seniors Home, Abbotsford BC, occurred on October 31, 2004. Bob was born on November 2, 1921 in Whitewood, SK. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Betty; daughter Nadya of Victoria, BC, granddaughter Tamara; son Jim (Ally) of Chilliwack, grandchildren and great grandchildren Randy (Kim), Dylan and Jessie James Dowson, Shane Dowson, Brad (Pam) and James Dowson, Andrew Richards, Christy (Clayton) and Emily Keuster and son Bryan (Kate) of Calgary; daughter Shelly (Bruce) of Vancouver; son Gord (Paula) of Calgary, grandchildren Chase and Chance Dowson, and daughter Dawn (Dave), Cody and Travis Crowe of Vancouver; daughter-in-law Bev Handren of Vancouver, granddaughter Sara; grandchildren Dillan and Eddy; two brothers Roy of Kyle, SK and Ralph of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Eileen; sister-in-law Elsie (John) Ford; and brother-in-law Vic Hay; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his son Jerry (2001). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Legion Hall, Branch #57, 32627 Logan Ave., Mission BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice. Rest in peace husband, father, and grandpa, as you will always be with us in our hearts. Betty and family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of the Maplewood Senior Care Home for making Dad feel special and for taking such good care of him for the past two years.
