BRIDGER, Robert Douglas, passed away peacefully, at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the age of 83 years. Born in Verdun, Quebec, Bob worked for many years in the aviation field, as a pilot and then as an air traffic controller, both in Quebec and then in British Columbia. He completed his career at the Abbotsford Airport. He was married for 50 years to Carol, his beloved wife. They had three children, Douglas, Steve and Ken (Nicolette). Bob leaves, also, his two grandchildren, Rowan and Emma, as well as his many dear friends and colleagues from the aviation profession. He was a very active volunteer, giving much of his time to Abbotsford Community Services, the Red Cross and the Abbotsford Curling Club. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way, in Abbotsford. Rev. William "Bill" Booth will officiate.
