Robert “Bob” Virgil, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Kimberley, BC on January 27, 1927. He is predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Drucilla and his sister Joyce. He is survived by his wife, Delia, his sons, Mike (Cheryl), Peter and daughter Leslie, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
As a Royal Canadian Navy veteran of both the Second World War and the Korean wars, he retired and moved to Abbotsford, BC with his family in 1969. He worked at the Canada Post office until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed his retirement years with his extended family, his life long friends and playing horseshoes at the Abbotsford Horseshoe Club.
The family would like to thank the staff at the MSA Hospital for their kindness and help.
