Richard passed away on March 3, 2005 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 57 years, Gertrude, daughters Patricia and husband Robert Wall and Valerie and husband Jim Chapman; 5 grandchildren Donna Hais and husband Robert, Victoria Shannon and husband Brad, Jennifer Tonsi and husband James, Brooke Ross, Kaalum Ross and wife Jessica; 8 great grandchildren Robert Jr., Hayley, Caitlyn and Matthew Hais, Joshua and Zachary Otten, Cole Shannon and Corben Tonsi. He is also survived by his brother Henry and sisters Annie, Susie and Helen. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Abbotsford Pentecostal Church, 3145 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Samaritans Purse, 20 Hopewell Way, N.E., Calgary AB, T3J 5H5
