Reginald Frank Sparham

June 18, 1943 — Sept. 26, 2004

It was with a long and courageous battle with kidney and heart disease that our father, grandfather and friend passed away.

Dad was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #1. He left home at the age of 15 to join the carnival to help support his mother and four siblings. While in the carnival, he supplemented his income with his gambling and pool-playing — which he was excellent at. After three years, he joined the Army where he was with the Second Battalion Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada. At the age of 20 he bought his first home for his family of five while working three jobs. Throughout his life, he enjoyed various jobs such as farming, milkman, millworker, construction, tallyman (Fibreglass Canada) and real estate. From his hard work he was able to retire in his early forties and travel with his wife and grandchildren — and gamble.

Dad leaves behind his ex-wife and friend, Irene Sparham; children Darren, Darla, Irene and Reggie; and grandchildren Robert and Samantha Sparham.

"Always in our hearts.

Love you Dad."
