WEIR Phyllis Rowena (nee Dundass). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Rowena Weir. Phyllis was born in Lashburn, SK and raised in Cranbrook, BC, coming to the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley in the 1970's. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Russell (Rusty) Weir in 1979, as well as brothers Garth, Stan, Delmar and Richard Dundass and sisters Dorothy Colledge and Doris Dundass. She is survived by her brother Len Dundass of Australia, son Rick Weir (Shirley) of Vancouver, daughter Sherry Thirsk (Riley) of Abbotsford, grandchildren Sarah and Devin Weir of Vancouver and Calista Thirsk of Abbotsford, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Phyllis was a character with a ready comment or comeback for any situation. She will be missed by family and friends old and new. Many thanks to the staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their outstanding care, and to the staff and residents of MSA manor for their great care and companionship during her brief stay there. Rest in Peace Mom. A family remembrance to be held at a later date.
