Phyllis Waardenburg. Phyllis May Rolls was born January 12, 1938 in Abbotsford. She married Jim Waardenburg in 1957 and they raised four children: Lawrence (Andrea), Debbie, Barry (Sharon) and Darryl (Joanne). Phyllis loved her family which also included grandchildren Brandon (Tiffany), Kyle, Pamela, Makayla, Kira, Bryanna, Dakota and Wyatt and great grandchildren Isaiah and Jacob. Phyllis was predeceased by her brother Donny, sister Elsie and her infant son Bradley. She was survived by her sisters Virginia and Patty.
When she wasn't busy in the kitchen making bread or homemade soup, she was out in the garden tending to her vegetables. Phyllis also enjoyed shopping and camping with her family and friends. Phyllis passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre after being diagnosed with liver cancer. A funeral service will be held at the Woodlawn Funeral Home at 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC on Saturday, February 9th at 3:30 p.m.
